By volunteering as a ReStore Driver (Full Licence - Manual), you will play an integral part in our store collecting and delivering donated items. And there will be times you will be helping in the ReStore as well. You must be physically fit and able to lift furniture and items weighing up to 20kgs at times . Any days you could spare would be great but Tuesday and /or Wednesday would be ideal for our team.
The Habitat Curtain Bank provides low-income families with free curtains. We have cut, sewn and re-purposed thousands of curtains enabling many families to live in warmer and healthier homes while reducing their energy bills. To meet increasing need the service is now seeking volunteers to help support the production of curtains as the service gears up for winter. Do you have a few hours a week to come and join the team and donate your time for a very worthy cause?

Keeping homes warm with appropriate curtains is essential to maintaining health and wellbeing. Our curtain bank volunteers use their skills to help people living in cold houses. We up-cycle old donated curtains and re-line them before distributing them. We need volunteers who can sew, and volunteers who can help sort, measure, and pack orders. The curtain bank is open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning from 9am to 12pm.
