Volunteering Bay of Plenty (Volunteering BOP) is one of 18 Volunteer Centres in the country and a member of Volunteer New Zealand. The focus of Volunteering BOP is embedded in our vision and mission: • Vision – People transforming communities, transforming lives • Mission - To educate, advocate and enable excellence in volunteering throughout the Bay of Plenty Volunteering BOP provides a range of services to support and promote volunteering, including: • Linking potential volunteers and organisations. • Providing a range of training relating to voluntary work. • Providing news and information to our community about volunteering and new developments. • Promoting the value of volunteering by showing our appreciation. One of the ways we do this is through awards for individual volunteers and organisations.
