We are looking for vibrant and energetic volunteers to join our Youth Zone team. The Youth Zone was put in place to support rangatahi and provide them with the opportunity to develop positive personal skills and gain long lasting relationships. You have a passion to make a difference to the lives of young people, you can build relationships with people of various ages (especially young people), backgrounds and ethnicities. You have an easy way of communicating with young people and you are comfortable thinking outside the square and using your creativity and initiative. The Youth Zone will be set up at least twice a week at different locations around Wellington. The hours will vary but will always be in the afternoon (after the school day) and finish early evening. You will be connecting with youth through a variety of activities, such as indoor and outdoor games, baking, cooking, and mentoring, you will be there if they need support, or need to talk. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills, engage with and make a difference to youth.
