Our Op Shops are full to the brim with interesting, useful and unique items, and our volunteers are the stars who make it all possible. We have a busy team of drivers and support crew picking up donated items and delivering purchased items. Whanganui is so generous to our shops and our drivers and crew have an important role representing Hospice in the community.
If you want to contribute to your community but don't have regular times available then this is the role for you! Our events include auctions and markets, raffles, gala occasions and community activities. We need people for collecting donations, putting up posters, making sandwiches or greeting guests, anything to do with putting an event on. Our Hospice Whanganui's Fundraising and Events team raise funds to provide free palliative care for our community.
