Chiasma is a registered New Zealand charity and member-based volunteer organisation that creates links between academia and the wider science and technology industries. Launched 15 years ago at the University of Auckland, it has since branched into Dunedin and Wellington. Each regional branch is run by a local student-led committee with a National committee coordinating and supporting the regions, under the guidance of an Alumni Advisory Board. Chiasma’s mission is to inspire and engage our tertiary students to develop successful careers in science and technology. Our organisation serves this mission by empowering tertiary students with the necessary skills, networks and mindset. In turn, these innovative, well-connected and commercially aware graduate.
