Te Pūtahi Centre for Architecture and City Making

Logo for Te Pūtahi Centre for Architecture and City Making

We are an independent non-profit organisation that catalyses greater involvement in city making through a diverse and inclusive programme of engagement. We exist to open people’s eyes, minds and hearts to the city. Our purpose is to help all people to create a city that amplifies their sense of joy, meaning and belonging. Our vision is to see people and the city thrive together. Because we believe that great cities are places where everyone can participate and all life can flourish. We develop and run Aotearoa's largest public architecture festival, Open Christchurch, run research projects, the speaker series Christchurch Conversations and provide a variety of ways to engage with the city, urbanism and architecture.
