Travis Wetland Trust

Travis Wetland is a fresh water wetland in the north east of Christchurch. The area was saved from development in the 1990's and is now gazetted as a nature heritage park. The Travis Wetland Trust and the Christchurch City Council work together to preserve and develop the wetland for wildlife habitat, education and the enjoyment of all. The Trust and CCC run a workday on the third Saturday of the month from 9 am to 12 noon. Meet at the Education Centre, end of Beach Rd, equipment supplied but bring your gumboots.
