Digital Seniors Coach

Digital Seniors

Logo for Digital Seniors

There is now a disparity among the seniors of Aotearoa who struggle to connect with their loved ones as they don’t know how to use gadgets like their phones or laptops. Digital Seniors seeks to erase that barrier and help seniors feel supported and empowered as they learn. Our hubs are weekly social learning spaces for seniors to receive free one-on-one coaching and support using their devices in a positive, fun and social environment. No matter what seniors want to do online, such as connecting with friends and whanau, sending photos, paying bills or shopping, we’re here to help teach them how to do it so they can feel confident enough to do it by themselves.

If you have two to three hours a week to spare, join our fun team of friendly, kind volunteers. No previous experience or expert knowledge required. Basic knowledge of tech only (e.g. iphones/androids and laptops are the most commonly brought). We all learn together!

We are particularly keen to hear from those who who can volunteer at our newest hub in Whangaparāoa on Wednesday mornings and at Albany and Glenfield hubs. We will be growing our services into East Auckland in the coming months so please also get in touch if you're keen to join us there.
