We need help maintaining and expanding a pest-controlled 250 hectare area around the Pā Kererū walk in a beautiful area of regenerating bush in the Kaimai Mamaku Conservation Park at the end of Whakamārama Road, just northwest of Tauranga.

If you have a moderate level of fitness and love being in the bush helping protect our native flora and fauna, please come and see what we do and consider joining our group of 40+ volunteers at one of our fortnightly volunteer days. We don't use toxins and all trapping gear is provided.

DETAILS: -- We meet fortnightly, on Friday mornings, when our primary work is checking and maintaining rat, possum and stoat traplines. (We also have volunteers who do this work at weekends.) -- There are opportunities to work with new trapping technology -- We undertake twice yearly wildlife monitoring (bird counts, tracker tunnels) -- We also need help with outreach to promote our work and attract volunteers
