Logo for Dunedin Curtain Bank

Dunedin Curtain Bank up-cycles unwanted and unused curtains, lines them, and distributes them to those in need in our community. Curtains make a significant difference to the warmth of a home. A third of all heat loss in an uninsulated home occurs through windows. At Dunedin Curtain Bank we collect, repair and reline donated curtains to those in need in our community.

As a Curtain Bank Volunteer you will be:

  • Assessing our curtain donations
  • Accurately measuring and labeling curtains
  • Folding and shelving the curtains carefully
  • Engaging in general sorting tasks, such as dehooking, and unknotting of curtains
  • Helping to keep our curtain store room tidy, and other assorted tasks at the Curtain Bank

What's in it for volunteers?

  • A Dunedin Curtain Bank Volunteer carries out a role that gives back to the community by helping to create warmer homes
  • There is also an opportunity to meet new people, make friends and experience the not-for-profit sector
