Organisation description Pregnancy Help Inc (CC51116) is a registered charity providing free, practical support to anyone caring for tamariki/pepi in Aotearoa. Te tautoko me te tohutohu awhina mo te matuatanga. We have seven branches across Aotearoa and have absolutely no referral criteria, this means our services are available to everyone. The Taupō Branch is located at the Wai Hina hub, 67 Heu Heu Street, Taupō. Beth Feltham is our Branch Coordinator and is responsible for organizing and looking after our volunteers. Our volunteers are vital to continuous running of our service and without whom we would struggle to remain operational.

Volunteering opportunities We are currently seeking volunteers to help with the general running of our busy drop-in center which involves interacting with our clients and helping them to find items they need, sorting donations, making up packs and offering advice if asked for.

Skills/competencies Having good communication skills to interact with many different people, including children, sound organizational skills to sort through donations and the ability to thrive in a busy environment would be ideal. However, more importantly, we are seeking volunteers who are warm, compassionate and friendly with a desire to help their community.

Commitment required We are looking for people who could volunteer for a few hours every week, however we are flexible and happy to discuss options based on availability and other factors.
