Role Purpose:

The Board Secretary is responsible for proactively collaborating with Board Members to set up meetings, giving notice of any meetings, and promptly distributing materials such as agendas and minutes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Notify Board Members of meetings and request agenda
  • items.
  • Consult with Board Chair regarding the agenda.
  • Receive financial and operational reports from Operations Manager.
  • Collate board pack and circulate prior to Board Meeting.
  • Keep accurate minutes of Board Meetings
  • Produce and distribute Board Minutes prior to Board
  • Meetings
  • Manage internal communication as required.

Key Skill Set:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Well organised.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Demonstrate empathy with Kind Hearts Trust philosophy and purpose.
  • Great knowledge of administrative computer software.
