Become a GirlGuiding Leader – Hamilton
GirlGuiding is all about empowering young people to develop confidence, leadership, and life skills. That means heading outdoors, adventuring locally, learning new things, and having fun by getting stuck in.
We’re looking for volunteer leaders in the community to support the next generation through weekly activities, planning sessions, and occasional camps.
As a Volunteer Leader, you will:
- Inspire and encourage tamariki to reach their potential and try new things
- Be hands-on, enthusiastic, and patient
- Join a supportive team and be part of a worldwide movement
- Commit to weekly unit meetings during school terms, plus planning and occasional weekend events

About GirlGuiding Sections
GirlGuiding NZ offers a variety of sections to support young people at different stages of development:
- Pippins: 5–6 years
- Brownies: 7–9.5 years
- Guides: 9.5–12.5 years
- Rangers: 12.5–17 years
When you apply, we'll be in touch to discuss which section best suits your skills, interests and availability, as well as the needs of our local units.
There is no cost to you to volunteer with GirlGuiding NZ. You’ll need to be 18 years or older for health and safety requirements. A driver’s licence is helpful, but not essential.
