Volunteer Animal Carer – QT Community Cats (Queenstown)
We are looking for caring, reliable volunteers to help us look after rescued cats and kittens at QT Community Cats.
We need extra hands to help keep our rescue running smoothly. Our volunteers play a vital role in making sure every cat is safe, fed, clean, and getting the love and socialisation they need.
What the role involves: • Feeding cats and kittens • Cleaning litter trays and living areas • Changing bedding and keeping spaces tidy • Socialising and spending time with the cats • Helping maintain a calm, safe environment
Shifts available: Morning shift around 10am-12 noon Afternoon shift around 4pm-6pm We ask volunteers to commit to one regular shift per week if possible.
Who this role suits: • Animal lovers who are reliable and responsible • People comfortable with cleaning and hands-on tasks • Students needing volunteer hours or work experience • Anyone wanting to give back to the local community Anyone needing to do community service hours.
No experience is needed. Full guidance and support will be provided.
Volunteering with us is rewarding, meaningful work and makes a real difference to vulnerable cats in our community. We run a lot of programs from the rescue with local organisations such as the library and retirement home.
