Facilities Co-ordinator (Volunteer)
GirlGuiding New Zealand is looking for organised and community-minded volunteers to join our Property Team as Facilities Co-ordinators. This volunteer role supports the smooth day-to-day operation of Guiding properties and facilities, working alongside staff and volunteers to help create safe, welcoming spaces for our members and communities.
Some Facilities Co-ordinators support a single property, while others assist across several nearby sites. Responsibilities are flexible and shared depending on local needs and availability.
What you’ll be doing
Depending on the needs of your local area, you may assist with some of the following:
- Acting as a friendly point of contact for volunteers, hirers, and property users
- Supporting bookings, enquiries, and site visits using provided systems and templates
- Helping coordinate cleaning, rubbish removal, and basic site checks
- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues
- Liaising with contractors and service providers when required
- Completing simple health and safety checks and maintaining basic records
- Working collaboratively with GirlGuiding NZ staff and volunteers to support property operations
You won’t be expected to manage everything on your own! Guidance, systems, and support will be provided.
