    Everyone is welcome to volunteer at parkrun events. We have heaps of fun, simple and rewarding opportunities to lend a hand for one to two hours on a Saturday morning at parkrun events across New Zealand. No training is required, roles are fully supported on the day and you can take part as often or as little as you would like. You can volunteer as a marshal, timekeeper, photographer or try your hand at scanning barcodes and handing out tokens…..to name a few of the roles we have available.

    We are a youth-based organisation, that believes in young people supporting young people. We work alongside youth with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, focusing on outdoor adventure based programmes. We work with over 200 youth in Auckland, Christchurch, the Waikato and BoP regions offering 170 various programmes per year. We are a small NGO and require all the volunteer support we can get to operate well, so we highly value the input that volunteers offer us here at Recreate.

    These sessions, held in the mornings, can be two to three hours in duration and are held in Tauranga , Papamoa, Katikati and Omokoroa. The volunteer will interact with the clients and help with activities as per an established programme which is led by a Team Leader.
