Everyone is welcome to volunteer at parkrun events. We have heaps of fun, simple and rewarding opportunities to lend a hand for one to two hours on a Saturday morning at parkrun events across New Zealand. No training is required, roles are fully supported on the day and you can take part as often or as little as you would like. You can volunteer as a marshal, timekeeper, photographer or try your hand at scanning barcodes and handing out tokens…..to name a few of the roles we have available.
Align your passion for conservation with your mahi – we’re looking for someone with specific skills to join our Trust. This voluntary role is where you’ll get to bring your knowledge and team spirit to a talented and motivated group whose primary focus is to protect kiwi on the Coromandel’s Kūaotunu Peninsula. Help us build on our experience and expertise in helping kiwi thrive to expand to wider care.
We are a youth-based organisation, that believes in young people supporting young people. We work alongside youth with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, focusing on outdoor adventure based programmes. We work with over 200 youth in Auckland, Christchurch, the Waikato and BoP regions offering 170 various programmes per year. We are a small NGO and require all the volunteer support we can get to operate well, so we highly value the input that volunteers offer us here at Recreate.

Our volunteers help people from all walks of life and the work is interesting, stimulating and fun. We work with clients by listening carefully, thoroughly researching the options available to them and by explaining the information in a way that they can use it. We also help people access information and services online or make complaints when needed.
